 Lisbon it is the capital and also the larger town of the Portugal, with 564,657 residents, while the urban area has more of 3 millions of residents, equal to about a third one of the whole Portuguese population.
 The town was been based on from the Phoenician with the name of Alis Ubbo. The Romans renamed it Olisippo, name that became subsequently Olissipona, then Lissapona and finally Lisboa.  The town is situated to the mouth of the river Tagus. The two banks of the river Tagus are connected from two large bridges, the Bridge 25 April inaugurated in 1966 and the bridge Vasco da Gama, inaugurated in 1998 in occasion of the universal exhibition Expo '98. In that occasion have celebrated the 500 years of the discovery of the maritime passage for India aside of the navigator Vasco da Gama.
